Clouds of New York

Mission

Have you looked up to the sky and admired the clouds?
Have you ever seen a face or a dragon in the formations above?
Does your inner scientist ever gaze up and wonder, "What kind of cloud could that possibly be?"

Well, if you are in the near vicinity of this author, fear not!
Follow on this journey towards amateur interpretation of cloud classification. It is a collection of clouds overhead different locations in New York. This interpretation will be two-fold; imaginative and amateur classification.

Classification Guidelines

We will be using the National Weather Service Guidelines on Cloud Classification.
Clouds are classified according to their height and appearance.
Since I do not own a ceilometer, I will be very unscientifically eyeballing it. Remember, we are amateurs here :D
That being said, the appearance or texture will be the variable to focus on here.
I also want to note that these cloud classifications are for discrete times and locations , and are not meant to be representative of all cloud cover over New York.
